Jack Cannon
Jack Cannon is a lighting and production designer with seven years of experience in performing arts, including five years of experience in professional theatre. He has received international recognition and honors for his designs and the development of lighting in virtual environments. In 2019 and 2020, Jack received design awards from the International Thespian Society. In 2021, Jack won the Clay Paky Collegiate Design and Programming Contest. His recent theatrical work includes the world premieres of God Help Us (2018) and Silent Night (2019). In 2021, Jack joined Apple as a Production Specialist for Fitness+. Most recently, in 2022, Jack was brought on by NBC Universal Studios to work on the research and development of lighting for virtual production in Unreal Engine. Jack has led lighting design workshops for the Indiana State Thespian Festival, the Illinois High School Theatre Festival, the California Thespian Festival, the Nevada Thespian Festival, Santa Monica College, and the CalArts School of Dance. He has also adjudicated the Thespian Excellence Awards in multiple states. Jack graduated from the California Institute of the Arts with a Bachelors in Experience Design & Production, he is one of the youngest to graduate from the university.
